South side of Dobbin Barn.

Silo in the center of the barn, built from hollow clay tile. The boards on top are temporary.

The base of the silo, and an old corn dryer. Stalls can be seen to the left.

The outer wall is to the left, stalls to the right.

The animal stalls surround the silo, which makes feeding easier.

These stanchions are Louden Machinery Company products, made in Fairfield, IA. See a Louden catalogue page at the Louden website.

Wooden stalls had been widely used, but presented various problems, which the all-steel stalls were designed to solve.
